Kreative S.O.C.I.A.L. is the community co-op program within Compass Cove Collective that brings families together through meetups, field trips, and creative learning experiences.
What is the Compass Cove Collective Community?
Compass Cove Collective is a homeschool-centered community in Fort Washington, Maryland, where families come together for connection, creativity, and collaborative learning.
Our community gatherings are organized through Kreative S.O.C.I.A.L., which brings children and families together for field trips, monthly themed meet-ups, creative projects, and shared learning experiences. Rather than a traditional homeschool co-op with ongoing enrollment, families can participate in individual experiences based on their interests and availability.
Whether you are new to homeschooling, have been on the journey for years, or are simply looking to connect with like-minded families, Compass Cove Collective offers a welcoming space where learning and community meet.
Throughout the year, Compass Cove Collective hosts community gatherings and creative meetups that encourage curiosity, kindness, and collaboration.
Activities may include:

movement and team activities
community discussions and reflection
opportunities for children to build friendships
Each gathering is intentionally designed to balance learning, creativity, and connection in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Who It’s For
Compass Cove Collective welcomes families with children of all ages, recognizing that every stage of childhood brings unique opportunities for learning, creativity, and connection.
Our Kreative S.O.C.I.A.L. monthly meet-ups are generally designed for children ages 5–12, while other programs and special events may welcome younger children, teens, and families of all ages.
As our community grows, we look forward to creating additional opportunities for older children and teens to connect, collaborate, and build meaningful friendships.
Families from Fort Washington and throughout the greater DMV area are welcome to connect with our growing community.
Community Gatherings & Field Trips
Throughout the school year, Compass Cove Collective offers a blend of community meetups and educational outings designed to bring families together in meaningful ways.
Monthly Meet-Ups
Our Kreative S.O.C.I.A.L. meetups are typically held on weekends and are open to all families — both homeschool and traditionally schooled children. These gatherings focus on creativity, connection, and community through themed activities, collaborative projects, and shared experiences.
Homeschool Field Trips
During the school week, Compass Cove also organizes field trips throughout the DMV region for homeschool families. These outings provide opportunities for hands-on learning, exploration, and social connection in museums, nature spaces, cultural centers, and other educational environments.
Together, these experiences help children build friendships while allowing families to grow a supportive community around learning.

Friendsgiving: Gather & Grow 🍁
Saturday, November 7 | 4:00–7:00 PM | @ The Cove
Ages 5–12 | $15 per child • $10 each additional sibling
Join Kreative S.O.C.I.A.L. for a special Friendsgiving celebration filled with friendship, gratitude, creativity, and connection!
Children will enjoy an afternoon of interactive games, meaningful conversations, and hands-on activities designed to encourage appreciation, kindness, and a sense of belonging.
Our Friendsgiving experience includes:
Find Someone Who: A fun, interactive icebreaker that gets everyone moving, talking, and connecting!
Our Gratitude Tree: A collaborative activity celebrating the people, places, and experiences we're thankful for.
Gratitude Placemats: Children will create personalized placemats to use during our Friendsgiving Feast and take home afterward.
Friendsgiving Feast: A delicious Thanksgiving-inspired meal featuring sliced turkey breast, macaroni and cheese, stuffing, green beans, gravy, dinner rolls, and fresh fruit.
A Special Keepsake: Each child will receive a gratitude-themed magnet to take home!
