Kreative S.O.C.I.A.L. Community

Kreative S.O.C.I.A.L. is the community co-op program within Compass Cove Collective that brings families together through meetups, field trips, and creative learning experiences.

What is the Compass Cove Collective Community?

Compass Cove Collective is a homeschool community in Fort Washington, Maryland where families come together for connection, creativity, and collaborative learning.

Our community gatherings are organized through Kreative S.O.C.I.A.L., the co-op branch of Compass Cove Collective where children and families meet for field trips, monthly events, creative projects, and shared learning experiences.

Whether you are new to homeschooling, have been on the journey for years, or are looking to connect with like-minded families, Compass Cove Collective offers a welcoming space where learning and community meet.

What We Do

Throughout the year, Compass Cove Collective hosts community gatherings and creative meetups that encourage curiosity, kindness, and collaboration.

Activities may include:

  • field trips

  • hands-on creative projects

  • seasonal themed gatherings

  • movement and team activities

  • community discussions and reflection

  • opportunities for children to build friendships

Each gathering is intentionally designed to balance learning, creativity, and connection in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Community Gatherings & Field Trips

Throughout the school year, Compass Cove Collective offers a blend of community meetups and educational outings designed to bring families together in meaningful ways.

Monthly Meet-Ups

Our Kreative S.O.C.I.A.L. meetups are typically held on weekends and are open to all families — both homeschool and traditionally schooled children. These gatherings focus on creativity, connection, and community through themed activities, collaborative projects, and shared experiences.

Homeschool Field Trips

During the school week, Compass Cove also organizes field trips throughout the DMV region for homeschool families. These outings provide opportunities for hands-on learning, exploration, and social connection in museums, nature spaces, cultural centers, and other educational environments.

Together, these experiences help children build friendships while allowing families to grow a supportive community around learning.

Our Community Values

At Compass Cove Collective, we believe that learning happens best in environments where children feel supported, encouraged, and free to be themselves.

Our community values:

• curiosity and creativity
• kindness and cooperation
• respect for each child’s unique learning journey
• meaningful connections between families

Compass Cove Collective is not just about activities — it’s about building a supportive village for homeschooling families.

Who It’s For

Compass Cove Collective welcomes families with children across a wide range of ages. Our gatherings are designed to be engaging for younger learners while also creating space for older children and teens to connect, collaborate, and build friendships.

While activities may vary, many of our events are especially enjoyed by children between ages 6–14, with families encouraged to decide what feels like the best fit for their child.

Families from Fort Washington and the greater DMV area are welcome to join our growing community.
